Harvesters  Escape Room Adventure

The Harvesters have the opportunity to do some “out-of-the-box” thinking and have great fun and fellowship at the same time as they experience an escape room adventure on Thursday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m.

So what is an “escape room”?  The short version is... "a live, interactive game in which a player must use and manipulate their surroundings to escape an enclosed area." 

Escape Bradenton is located at Orange Blossom Plaza on Cortez Road east of US 41 and is a live-action adventure, where you are part of a team (usually 4-8 people) challenged to solve your way out of a brilliantly-themed, decorated, “locked” room. Games are set in a variety of fictional locations, such as prison cells, dungeons, mansions, and space stations.  Usually the various puzzles and riddles themselves follow the theme of the room.

Your team uses elements within the room to solve a series of puzzles and riddles to find clues which will help youunveil the secret plot which is hidden within the room.  The team is given a set time limit, usually 60 minutes, to “escape” from the room. 

Escape rooms have been around since the 2010s. For those of us who were not raised with video games, this concept of the escape room might be foreign to us.  There also might be some concern about just what you would be getting yourself into by participating in this event!    If you go to Escape Bradenton’s website and read some of the reviews, you will find that, if you have even the slightest spirit of adventure and are willing to try something new you are in for a time of great entertainment and fun, fun, fun.

The cost for this adventure is $25/person which includes the escape room adventure and a double-dip ice cream cone at EB Scoops, an ice cream shop and companion business to Escape Bradenton and located just a few doors away. 

Lunch reservations have been made for 12:15 p.m. at Hungry Howie’s Pizza Buffet located on 301 Boulevard in the DeSoto Square Mall parking area.  Cost of the buffet will be on your own.
